Rose Parade New Year's Extravaganza December 29, 2010 - January 3, 2011 Remember the thrilling excitement of watching a parade as a child? Here’s your opportunity to re-connect to your childhood while watching the "parade of all parades" - The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade! On Wednesday, December 29, 2010, we will begin our six-day adventure with a flight to sunny California where our deluxe motorcoach awaits. We will check into the beautiful, full-service Hyatt Regency Long Beach Hotel, our home for the next five nights, and enjoy dinner before we depart for the magnificent Crystal Cathedral for the spectacular performance of "The Glory of Christmas."  On Thursday, December 30, 2010, you have the choice of spending the day in Palm Springs or at Disneyland. The Palm Springs option includes the matinee performance of the "Fabulous Palm Springs Follies." This fantastic musical revue is a three-hour, razzle-dazzle, song and dance vaudeville-style extravaganza showcasing the music of the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s with one amazing difference -- each of the cast members is from 59 to 84 years "young!" The Disneyland "Magic Kingdom" option includes admission to the park. Let the child inside you roam free as you enjoy the rides, attractions and entertainment!
On Friday, December 31, 2010, you will have a choice of two activities. Visit the world’s largest movie studio, Universal Studios. This includes a guided tram tour that will take you on a journey through the past, present and future of filmmaking. You’ll also discover a variety of entertaining shows, rides and other attractions inside the park. Or you may choose to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to learn about the life and times of this famous president. This evening is our big gala New Year’s Eve Party at the Hyatt including an elegant dinner, dancing to the sounds of a live band and the fun of a mock Monte Carlo-style casino. There will be hats and party favors for all and a champagne toast to ring in the New Year!
On Saturday, January 1, 2011, we will celebrate the new year with the "parade of all parades." We’ll travel to Pasadena and take our reserved grandstand seats along Colorado Boulevard to view the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade. Enjoy the spectacular floats and marching bands participating in this tremendous event. A souvenir program and a seat cushion are included. Then we will enjoy lunch in Beverly Hills at Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
 On Sunday, January 2, 2011, we depart for Pasadena to view the floats on display. You will be able to closely examine the intricate work of these beautiful creations. Smell the blossoms and observe how various live plants and other organic materials are incorporated into these fabulous floats for the parade. Then we’re off for a "Lights, Cameras, Los Angeles!" City Tour, an all-encompassing look at "the City of Angels." Highlights include the Wilshire corridor with a stop at the La Brea Tar Pits, parts of Beverly Hills and a stop in Hollywood at Graumann’s Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame. This evening we will enjoy a wonderful farewell dinner and entertainment at the Hyatt.
On Monday, January 3, 2011, we will depart the hotel for the airport for our flight home having made new friends and wonderful memories to last a lifetime. The cost of this tour will be available on February 22nd, 2010.
